Get clear about the power and pain of trust

Trust thought for today - Get clear, get stories, on the pain and power of trust.

What I thought would be one article has turned into three and not done yet!

I had a light bulb moment, which I should have seen ages ago, when I saw how the 7 qualities of trustworthiness were also part of so many people's 'Core Values' statements, and they didn't get taken seriously under that umbrella either. Is earning trust about understanding how in your culture and stakeholder relationships you uphold these Trust Values?

I had previously looked at what did galvanise companies to take their values seriously - the pain of distrust.

So how about making the 'business case' for trust and the Trust Values, by trying to get the organisation as clearly and viscerally as possible to feel the pain of distrust and understand the power of trust? It might not work, but it is one of the few things that has!

Next time will explore methodologies of measuring trust and distrust and after that, the power of Trust First.
