Straight forward apology wins plaudits

Trust thought for today - importance of being open and honest, admitting when you get things wrong, being sorry, not using weasily words to try to wriggle out of responsibilty or pretend it was something it wasn't. Useful as a sign of trustworthiness.

BBC OVO boss blames ‘bad day’ for ridiculous advice

Ovo boss looks like he diffused a problem here with his seemingly genuine and straight forward apology for the patronising advice about how to keep warm his energy company gave out in response to rising bills and falling temperatures.

Thanks Patrick Healy for a reminder of the lovely word weasily.

(Me later - still blamed someone else, but at least it was a ‘we’ not as Djokovic did the same day said ‘his agent’ made the mistake.
