The importance of Meaningful Patient Engagement

Trust thought for today - debating the important of Meaningful Engagement with patients here at the European Brain Summit in Brussels.

Inclusion, as we know important for trust, but essential also for the effective design of therapies which prioritise human needs over technological possibility.

Hearing from patient groups that more needs to be done to define in practical and respectful terms what meaningful engagement really means. Particularly important to help funders structure this into tenders and calls in this highly complex area of research into neurological diseases, and of course elsewhere.

Anyone got anything specific on that I could share?

My first in person meeting in 18 months! Well done Frédéric Destrebecq colleagues for putting on a great event and thanks for the invite! Vid of event soon.
