Here from Wired: A move for ‘Algorithmic Reparation’ calls for Racial Justice in AI

I've been thinking for a while now about how AI will transform human rights, not because of technological angle, but because it is making us think so much harder about the inherent biases of the way the world has worked in the past and what to do about making them better. This might be one of its greatest contributions to the world. Nothing to do with its technical possibility.

Legal requirement to deliver Algorithm Impact Assessments. Interesting. Hope it's not just about diversity, but also broader impacts, such as surveillance, mental health, societal impacts. Not easy to get right though. Hope the regulators are up to this tricky job.

The search for trustworthy AI, might just make systems more trustworthy in general. Or not. Who knows.
