Learning in public

Trust thought for today - Learning In Public.

I have been inspired to resurrect my commitment to a Trust Thought For Today by some joyful interactions and because of a commitment to 'learning in public'. Thanks to the wonderful Arnold Schrijver for bringing this phrase and this concept to my attention and helping me see that without knowing that's what I was doing with the initial TTFT idea. And I missed the discipline!

Here is the article on Learning In Public which made me rethink by SWYX of Temporal.IO

"You already know that you will never be done learning. But most people “learn in private”, and lurk. They consume content without creating any themselves. Again, that’s fine, but we’re here to talk about being in the top quintile. What you do here is to have a habit of creating learning exhaust."

TTFT will be 'learning exhaust' from my work. It is, and never has, been about getting likes or connections. It will be a mix of things I am interested in which I think might interest you, bouncing around ideas which vary from raw to half baked to fully cooked, contributing ideas in response to requests (and unrequested!) and crowdsourcing thinking from the generous, smart, thoughtful people who I am so fortunate to have inhabit my LinkedIn feed.

It will not only be about trust issues, but will take a look at the issues of the day from the perspective of trust and tech and governance, and language and of course bullshit. In particular I will have in mind the 7 Qualities of Trustworthiness from my TIGTech research - Intent, competence, integrity, openness, respect, fairness and inclusion. See below some vids from 90 secs to 10 mins if interested in what that's about here:

I gave up last time because I was worried I was losing quality control by reposting random articles because of the heavy schedule of daily posts. But I have decided not to worry about that, so be prepared for variable quality, but always posted because I think it is important, interesting, funny or useful.

Thanks for all of those who have been supportive and interested. If anyone is interested in the archive since Feb 2021, it is here:
