Bullshit and Boris

Trust thought for today - Bullshit and Boris

Boris was a master bullshitter. So just for fun I decided to look back at my work on bullshit and reflect on it in relation to the language and mindset of Boris on the day after his resignation.

It explores:

* What does bullshit actually mean?
* Why do we do it?
* A look back on Boris's history as a bullshitter and how that aligns with my thinking to date
* A tongue in cheek critique of his resignation speech, a masterclass of denial and self-justification inspired particularly by the great book "Mistakes were made (but not by me)"
* And a little bit about trust and bullshit.

The first airing too of the great illustrations by Aine Cassidy of Effusion which bring to life the types of bullshit (Fluff and Guff) and the motivations ( Puff, Bluff and Stuff). These are part of the Bullshit Workshops I am loving doing with public and private sector organisations. More next week!

Have a good weekend all!

Roger Miles, got your Institutionalised Gaslighting in again, the whole thing is a masterclass in that.
