10 Characteristics of Bullshit Tech

Trust thought for today - Inspired by my new and verbally satisfying idea of Bullshit Tech just earlier today, I decided to avoid the hard project I have to do and instead reflect on some of the possible characteristics of Bullshit Tech.

Fertile areas for it are surveillance, anything to do with wellness, and anything that claims to be ‘the next unicorn’. I may start a list

First draft of ideas for the 10 characteristic of Bullshit Tech. I only have 8 - any ideas or amends?

1. Its purpose is to make money off investors, not income by provide something people need or want

2. What it says it will clearly be harmful to people but they ignore that or make up some crap about the ends justifying the means

3. It claims to provide solutions to problems that don’t really exist

4. Tech clearly isn’t the answer to the particular problem

5. It can’t do what it says it will do, and never really could

6. The tech doesn’t work properly, which they know, but it is in Beta. Forever.

7. The website is full of pseudo profound bullshit language

8. The claims are grandiose and aren’t at all plausible

9. ?

10. ?

Sure you have lots of ideas! Mathew Mytka, Arnold Schrijver, Nathan (Nate) Kinch, Jo Spencer, John Phillips, Steven Tiell, Darrin Charlesworth , Florent Gaillard, Sam Brown, Tania Duarte, Merve Hickok and many others!
