Trust thought for today - the trust driver of competence.

This was stimulated by an excellent article in the FT (sorry paywall) on 'How to spot the chancers who are 'winging it' at work', riffing off Boris's shambolic CBI speech and the guy interviewing Adele who didn't even listen to her album!

It reminded me of this great chart on 'segmentation of offenders' from Ruth Steinholtz and Christopher Hodges OBE excellent book Ethical Business Practice and Regulation which I have been re-reading. It reminds us there are a variety of reasons for incompetence, and a spectrum of competence, each one requiring a different response. Here it is if not read:

Boris offenses span a few - criminal we know, a chancer for sure, careless yes and confused seemingly often! None fitting in a Prime Minister.
