Perspective

Trust thought for today is a very silly one! I have been thinking today about perspective and how we make words or situations mean things which may or may not be true because of what's going on in our heads. For example, I have experienced how we make the very same words from someone we trust mean a different thing coming from someone we don't trust.

This very tangential little pic reminded me of this, it is really nothing to do with it really but I'm sharing it anyway for my amusement!

My sis bought me this sweet little knitted wren which sits on my computer. He usually faces the door (left pic) and I feel he is looking with interest to see who is coming to see us. Sometimes he gets knocked to the middle and seems to be looking at me with a critical eye. The last one I hate because he looks like a sad little caged bird looking out of the window wondering when he will be freed. I turn him back immediately to the cheery one where he and I are looking with anticipation at what's happening in the house. Sad I know!

The hard to see point (!) is how we make things up and somehow make them mean something for reasons other than what is actually happening. It is a trust thing to think about. Really!
