The joy of our furry pals

Trust thought for the day - no proper TTFT for today as I have spent most of the day in and out of vet appts with my little cat Mr Schneebly who is ill. He won't be getting better, but wonderful care from the vets and sitting here on my lap for now with unthinkable decisions to be made in the coming days.

The picture is his usual sleeping position which always made us laugh!

The thought for the day is for our irreplaceable little furry friends and family who give us so much joy and comfort. And for those in Ukraine, Afghanistan and other war zones who are not able to care for theirs as they would like.

But also, a very moving moment. A neighbour and his son who we don't know very well, love our cat as their own. We share him pretty equally, and little Schneebly lay with his wife for many months as she was dying in 2017. Today they were the ones who called to say they thought he was ill and they insisted on taking me to collect him and insisted on paying the £1200 vets bill. How lovely that this little cat can inspire such love and how wonderful to get to know such caring thoughtful people.

NB: I had to put him to sleep the next day, but got so many kind comments and pics from neighbours he really was a ‘legend’ in our road. We don’t mind that he was hardly with us except when asleep, because he seems to have brought so much actual joy to others.
