How do we build trust in an age of big tech?

Trust thought for today - "in order to restore trust in Big Tech, we need rules that are as innovative as our technology companies."

Great TED talk about innovation in rulemaking here from Gillian K. Hadfield

How do we do we build trust in an age of big tech

Totally agree with that, our findings proposed 3 new competencies to help with innovative approaches to earn trust:

1. Building Trusted Environemnts for Collaborative Govenrance - particularly around more complex moral or ethical dilemmas associated with all new types of tech

2. 'Nothing about us without us' - innovating in citizen involvement with policy and law design

3. Evidence of Trustworthiness as the focus for regulator communication - particularly around enforcement and impact.

Looking forward to exploring more about Gillians work. Thanks Anja Kaspersen for the heads up about this.
