Expanding on the Importance of Outside Perspectives

perspectives .jpeg

Trust thought for today - the importance of taking seriously the views of others. So easy to see 'stakeholder engagement' as an end in itself, but not really take on board the findings and change what you do in response. The Embed part is the entire point.

I almost did it myself with my trust project. I had a great workshop with wonderful stakeholders giving useful feedback. It was quite alot of work to prep for and organise and I was so relieved when it was all over that it wasn't until almost a week later I remembered the whole purpose was to evolve my thinking and change my findings in response. So embarrassing!

I have really struggled to find great examples where practice was changed based on stakeholder engagement exercises. Pls share if you have any.
