Celebrating Effective Communication

Trust thought for the day is a celebration of great, simple, authentic communication - so important to trust and evidence of trustworthiness. And so, so rare.

Here is an example from Boston which has given me actual joy to read - the Smart City Playbook about their strategy for using digital tech as a city. Such an antidote to the total BS written about Smart Cities on the whole.

Love the whole thing and they had me at the first Principle - 'Stop sending sales people', who basically haven't thought through the purpose of their tech for the city at all.

Reminds me of one we highlighted in our Principles for Responsible Innovation from Stuart Challenor - "Please don't bring me pointless products where you’ve got some tech and you want to use it for something, anything, to make some money, but which adds no value at all to me or my customer."

All tech companies should read this and slavishly follow its advice.

Go Boston!
