Principle for Responsible Innovation

SocietyInside Principles for Responsible Innovation were designed for businesses involved in creating or using technology innovation.   They were developed over a period of years through a process of multi-stakeholder development and consultation.

This work began life with an exploration of responsibility and nanotechnologies in 2006 and as it soon became clear that the broad principles of responsibility related to all technologies they evolve for use across the spectrum of technologies and have been debated in relation to industrial biotech, gene editing, synthetic biology, AI & machine learning, Robotics and Food Irradiation.

A short history of their development and an outline of the Principles themselves are available in this document.  Click on the image to download.
