Trust and COVID-19

Using the Trust Drivers as a framework to explore trust and compare the approaches of different governments to handling the crisis.

Trust is central to the containment of the COVID-19 virus. Governments need their citizens to trust that their strategies are going to work, and really will benefit vulnerable people and society as a whole. Citizens need to believe that these strategies are trustworthy to commit to the actions required, which for many will come at great personal cost.

This article from April 2020, early in the Covid crisis, uses the trust drivers to compare the approaches of different governments around the world to earning the trust of their citizens in their handling of the crisis.
